Guidance Mission Statement
The mission of William A Walton's school counseling program is to provide high quality, comprehensive school counseling to all students. The program is designed to maximize every students academic, social, and career development potential in order to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners. The counseling program goals are to promote a supportive, safe, and caring atmosphere to promote high academic achievement through collaborative communication amoungst students, staff, parents and the community.

CHARACTER THEME OF THE MONTH!
This month students will learn about the character trait, Empathy! Students will engage in activities and discussion understanding the meaning of empathy, and identifying ways to be more understanding of others.
COGAT TESTING - 2ND GRADE - JANUARY 8, 9, 10. Please remember it is very important your child is present and on time during the days of testing. Also, your child should get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast before taking the test.
Attendance - Just a friendly reminder - you must notify the school if your child is going to be absent.
Grades 3-5 Before School Tutoring will beginning the last week of January. Please contact your child's teacher or myself if you are interested in your child receiving tutoring in the areas of Language Arts and/or Math.
